How Your Tank Is Prepared for Transport

Checked Before It Leaves

Every tank has a pre-delivery inspection in our workshop before it is loaded.

Wrapped and Protected

Finished surfaces and fittings are wrapped and capped to protect them on the road.

Skidded and Secured

Tanks travel on skids or cradles sized to the tank, so they ride secure and unload safely.

Oversize Loads

Large tanks travel as oversize loads with the permits and escorts they need.

Getting Your Site Ready

Your site needs to be ready before the truck arrives. Our approval drawings show the tank’s size so you can plan for it.

Unloading the tank and setting it in place is done by your own crane or rigging contractor. Connecting it to your plant is done by your own team or contractors.

  • Clear truck access to the delivery point
  • A foundation or slab ready for the tank’s footprint and full weight
  • Your crane or rigging contractor booked for delivery day
  • Your contractors lined up to connect the tank

Large Tanks Assembled on Site

Some tanks are too big to fit on a truck. For these, we fabricate the tank in our workshop, ship the parts to you and assemble the tank on site. This is on request, and we work it out project by project. Our largest tank, 1.9ML for Richmond Dairies in Casino NSW, was processed in our workshop and assembled on site.

We have also assembled tanks on site in the Torres Strait Islands, on Saibai, Boigu and Yam, and at Jabiru in the Northern Territory. If your tank is too big to transport whole, send us the details.
