Stainless Tanks Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 95 105 252 300) designs and builds stainless steel tanks, pressure vessels and process equipment at our workshop in Murarrie, Queensland. We are part of the Tank Solutions group. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” means Stainless Tanks Australia Pty Ltd and this website.

We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you can access or correct it or make a complaint.

What personal information we collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and run our business. This may include:

• contact details: your name, company, job title, email address, phone number and postal or site address
• enquiry and project details you send us, such as tank requirements, drawings, site location and delivery information
• newsletter sign-ups
• records of our dealings with you, including quotes, orders, invoices and correspondence
• website usage information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and how you arrived at our site

We do not ask for sensitive information (such as health information). Please do not send it to us.

How we collect it

We collect personal information directly from you when you:

• fill in a form on our website (an enquiry or quote request, or a newsletter sign-up)
• email, phone or meet us, or deal with us as a customer or supplier

The forms on our website are provided by HubSpot, so the details you enter are stored in our HubSpot account. We may also receive your details from your employer, other companies in the Tank Solutions group, or publicly available sources, where it is reasonable to do so.

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies. These include Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, HubSpot tracking and the LinkedIn Insight Tag, and, when we advertise on those platforms, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta (Facebook) pixel. They help us understand how the site is used, measure our advertising and show our ads to people who have visited our site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work properly if you do.

Why we collect it

We use personal information to:

• respond to enquiries and prepare quotes
• design, build, test, deliver and support our tanks and equipment, including warranty matters
• send newsletters and product updates, where you have agreed or would reasonably expect them
• manage accounts, invoicing and our relationships with customers and suppliers
• improve our website, products and services, and measure our marketing
• meet our legal obligations

Direct marketing

We may send you marketing emails about our products and services. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also opt out at any time by contacting us using the details below.

Advertising and audience matching

We use cookies and pixels from Google, LinkedIn and Meta to measure our advertising and to show our ads to people who have visited our website. We may also give these platforms a hashed (scrambled) version of the email address or phone number you have given us, so they can show you our ads, or leave you out of them, if you have an account with them. The platforms compare the hashed details with their own users, do not receive them in readable form, and delete details that don’t match. They may store information outside Australia, including in the United States. We do not use sensitive information for advertising. You can opt out at any time by unsubscribing from our emails or contacting us using the details below, and we will remove you from our advertising audiences. You can also manage ad preferences in your Google, LinkedIn and Meta account settings.

Who we share it with

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose it to:

• other companies in the Tank Solutions group, where relevant to your enquiry
• freight, logistics and installation contractors involved in delivering your project
• service providers who help us run the business, such as our website host (WP Engine), email and file storage (Microsoft 365), CRM, website forms and email newsletters (HubSpot), and analytics and advertising providers (Google, LinkedIn and Meta), including hashed contact details for audience matching as described above
• professional advisers, insurers and government bodies where required or authorised by law

Overseas disclosure

Some of our service providers, including WP Engine, HubSpot, Microsoft, Google, LinkedIn and Meta, store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States and other countries where they operate. When we use overseas providers, we take reasonable steps to make sure they handle personal information consistently with the APPs.

How we store and protect it

We hold personal information in electronic systems (including cloud services) and in paper records. We take reasonable steps to protect it from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, change or disclosure. These steps include access controls, security software and secure hosting. We delete or de-identify personal information when we no longer need it.

Accessing and correcting your information

You can ask for access to the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.

Complaints

If you think we have breached the APPs, please contact us in writing using the details below. We will acknowledge your complaint, look into it and respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at www.oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
