Tanks for Road Transport

Australia relies on trucks and tankers to move products over long distances to a spread-out population.

A tank on a vehicle has to handle vibration and a moving load. We build vehicle tanks to withstand vibration, limit how much the contents shift, and take industry-standard fittings for loading and unloading.

What Vehicle Tanks Need

Baffle Plates

Internal baffle plates limit how much the contents shift as the vehicle moves.

Braced Exterior

The tank exterior is braced for higher rigidity on the road.

Checked Joints

Joints are quality checked so the tank does not crack under the stress of movement.

Coupling Fittings

Fixtures and fittings for safe, efficient coupling, de-coupling, loading and unloading.

How We Build a Tanker Body

  1. 01

    Design

We design your tank around the vehicle and product in 3D and issue approval drawings before fabrication.

  2. 02

    Fabricate

Our welders and fabricators build your tank by hand in our Murarrie workshop and pressure test it there before it leaves.

  3. 03

    Fit Out

We fit out the tank with the couplings and accessories your loading and unloading points need.

  4. 04

    Service and Repair

We carry out repairs and modifications in our workshop.

Questions About Tanker Bodies

For anything else, call (07) 3348 9444.

Do you build tanks for rigid trucks and trailers?

Yes. We build custom stainless tanks for rigid vehicles and tanker trailers.

How do you stop the load shifting?

We fit baffle plates to limit the movement of the contents, and brace the tank to handle vibration on the road.

What fittings do your tankers have?

Industry-standard coupling fittings for efficient loading and unloading, chosen for the product you carry.

Can you build milk tankers and food-grade tanker bodies?

Yes. We build tanks for food and beverage transport, including milk tankers, as well as chemical and petroleum transport, with the grade chosen for the product.

Who looks after road compliance for the finished vehicle?

We build the tank to suit your chassis and compliance requirements and work with your chassis supplier and certifier.

Do you repair or modify tanker bodies?

Yes. We carry out repairs and modifications on stainless tanks already in service, with any pressure testing done in our workshop.
