Stainless Process Systems for Pharmaceutical Production

We manufacture sanitary stainless steel vessels, fittings, valves and complete process systems for pharmaceutical plants with strict safety and sanitation requirements.

Each system is built for your process pressure, temperature and volume. We build in stainless steel, including 316L, and design the equipment so it is easy to clean and inspect.

  • Strict sanitation requirements
  • High or low pressure, temperature and volume
  • Topical creams and ointments
  • Injectables and liquid suspensions
  • Tablets and other consumables

What Goes Into Our Pharmaceutical Systems

316L Construction

Vessels and pipework in 316L and other stainless grades, chosen for the product and cleaning chemicals.

Integrated CIP

We design and build complete clean-in-place systems into your process from the start.

Monitoring Built In

Systems can include monitoring so you can measure production levels and efficiency.

Orbital Welding

Orbital and TIG welding give smooth, consistent welds on sanitary pipework and vessels.

Weld Inspection

We carry out dye penetrant testing of welds in our workshop, and any other testing your specification calls for (for example radiography, borescope inspection, riboflavin coverage testing, surface finish (profilometer) checks and material verification) can be arranged through NATA-accredited third-party testers.

Design Support

We can design and engineer your project in 3D, and we advise pharmaceutical clients as third-party consultants.

Sanitary Processing With Clean-in-Place

Pharmaceutical manufacturers work under strict health, safety and sanitary manufacturing regulations. We build complete process systems to industry sanitary practice, to support your compliance for pills, ointments, injectables and other consumables.

Clean-in-place (CIP) systems use a mix of cleaning and sanitising chemicals, heat and water to clean process pipes, vessels and machinery where they stand. That removes the risk of re-contamination when equipment is reassembled after manual cleaning, and cuts the time and labour manual cleaning takes.

How We Build Pharmaceutical Equipment

  1. 01

    Design

We model your vessels, pipework and CIP circuits in 3D and issue approval drawings for sign-off before fabrication.

  2. 02

    Fabricate

Our welders build your equipment in our stainless-only workshop, then inspect and test it before it leaves.

  3. 03

    Deliver

We deliver your equipment to your site, anywhere in Australia, freighted from our Murarrie workshop by Russell Transport.

  4. 04

    Service and Repair

We carry out repairs and modifications in our workshop.

Questions About Pharmaceutical Tanks

For anything else, call (07) 3348 9444.

Do you build pharmaceutical vessels in 316L?

Yes. We build in 316L and higher alloys, with the grade shown on the approval drawing.

How do you make sure a vessel can be cleaned properly?

We design the spray devices, drainage and fittings so cleaning solution reaches every internal surface, and the surface finish is specified on the approval drawing.

Can you design CIP and SIP systems?

Yes. We design and build clean-in-place and steam-in-place systems and integrate them with your vessels, pumps and valves.

What documentation do you supply for validation?

Every tank comes with a manufacturer's data report with material certificates and weld records. Drawings and test reports to support your validation can be supplied on request, depending on what your quality team needs. Tell us at quote stage.

Can you work with our engineers or consultants?

Yes. We work from your specification and alongside your engineers, and we can design a project whether or not we build it.

Do you build pressure vessels?

Yes. We design pressure vessels in house to AS 1210, with each design verified by a third-party RPEQ, and build them in our workshop.
