Testing Before Delivery
Every tank we build is pressure tested in our Murarrie workshop, by hydrostatic test (depending on the size of the tank) or air test, and given a pre-delivery inspection before it leaves. We also do dye penetrant testing in the workshop. Radiography is arranged through a NATA-accredited third party where the job needs it. Other testing your specification calls for, such as borescope inspection, riboflavin coverage testing, surface finish (profilometer) checks and material verification, can be arranged through NATA-accredited third-party testers. The results go into your manufacturer’s data report.

Which industries do you build tanks for?
Dairy, food and beverage, wine, pharmaceutical, mining, agriculture, chemical and petroleum, and vehicles, where we build stainless tanker bodies for rigid trucks and trailers.
How do you build tanks for hygienic duties?
We design the spray devices, drainage and fittings so the cleaning solution reaches every internal surface, positioning spray devices around nozzles, agitators and baffles so nothing shadows the wall. The surface finish is specified on the approval drawing.
How do you choose the stainless grade for our product?
From what the tank will hold, its concentration and its temperature. Send us the product details and safety data sheet and we recommend 304, 316, 316L or a higher alloy.
Will you build to our consulting engineer's specification?
Yes. We work with consulting engineers and build to your specification, with approval drawings signed off before fabrication.
Can you build platforms and safety rails onto the tank?
Yes. We build operator platforms, safety rails and guides onto the tank in our workshop where the job needs them.
Do you deliver to remote and interstate sites?
Yes. We deliver to every Australian state and territory, freighted from our Murarrie workshop by Russell Transport. For remote sites we plan the freight with you before the tank leaves our workshop.
