Clean-in-Place (CIP) Systems

We design and build CIP sets, spray devices and return lines as part of your process, with each spray device chosen and placed for full coverage.

How Clean-in-Place Works

Clean-in-place systems use a mix of cleaning and sanitising chemicals, heat and water to clean tanks, pipes and machinery without taking them apart. That removes the risk of re-contaminating equipment when it is put back together, and saves the time and labour of manual cleaning.

We design CIP into your plant from the first drawing: the CIP set, supply and return pipework, valves, pumps and the spray balls inside each tank. We choose and place each spray device so the cleaning solution reaches every surface it needs to.

What Goes Into Our CIP Systems

CIP Sets

Tanks for detergent, sanitiser and rinse water, with the pumps, valves and pipework to circulate them.

Spray Ball Placement

We position spray balls around nozzles, agitators and baffles so the whole tank is wetted, not just the walls.

Spray Device Choice

We choose static spray balls or rotating heads to suit the tank size, soil and flow, so the design covers every internal surface.

Integration and Automation

We design and integrate the pumps and valves that let CIP run as part of your process, not as a separate job.

Orbital-Welded Pipework

Orbital and TIG welding give smooth bore welds in sanitary lines, with nowhere for residue to sit.

Retrofits and Upgrades

We fit new or relocated spray balls and CIP pipework to tanks you already own.

CIP Capabilities

Every CIP system is designed for your plant, product and cleaning regime.

How We Deliver a CIP System

  1. 01

    Map the Circuits

We work out which tanks and lines are cleaned together, and what each circuit needs in flow and temperature.

  2. 02

    Design

We model the CIP set, pipework and spray devices in 3D and issue approval drawings.

  3. 03

    Build and Test

We fabricate in our stainless-only workshop, then pressure test and inspect the system before it leaves.

  4. 04

    Deliver

We deliver the system to your site, anywhere in Australia.

Questions About CIP Systems

For anything else, call (07) 3348 9444.

How do you make sure the spray reaches every surface?

We choose the spray device type for your tank and soil, and position devices around nozzles, agitators and baffles so nothing shadows the wall. Riboflavin coverage testing, to check the spray reaches every surface, can be arranged through NATA-accredited third-party testers.

Can you add CIP to tanks we already have?

Yes. We can fit new or relocated spray balls and CIP pipework to existing tanks you send to our workshop.

Do you build CIP/SIP systems?

Yes. We build clean-in-place and sterilise-in-place systems for brewing and food lines.

Do you deliver interstate?

Yes. We deliver to every Australian state and territory.

Can you automate the CIP cycle?

We design and integrate the pumps and valves for automated CIP. Tell us your control system and we will work with it.

How long does a CIP system take?

It depends on the number of circuits and how much pipework is involved. We give you a programme with the quote.
